What is an iso file and how do I open an iso file?
An ISO file is an image of an entire CD, DVD or BD. ISO files are used to create backup disks because they contain an exact duplicate of data without losing any important filesystem information. An ISO file can restore a disk exactly to its original version. ISO files are often used to distribute large programs over the Internet. Most compression programs can extract the contents of an ISO file to a folder.
