What is an enw file and how do I open an enw file?

The .enw file extension is mainly known as an endnote import file. This .enw extension was developed by Thomson Reuters. Most files with .enw extension are those files imported from the EndNote citations management software; software used to create bibliographies and make them accessible. Files with the .enw extension are usually in the form of bibliographies and citation data. Sierra LandDesigner 3D also uses this file extension. The terrain modeling files associated with this software are in the .enw file format and this makes it possible for users to design the perfect landscape using the software. This was developed by Sierra Entertainment Inc. In the Windows word processing format, .enw files were used by Microsoft in their previous version of word processors.  However the most common use for .enw file extension is associated with Endnote. There are also other file formats that support Endnote, and although they are more recent file formats, the .enw extension is still used by Endnote.
