What is a js file and how do I open a js file?
JS files are text documents that contain lines of JavaScript code. These JavaScript codes are referenced by Web pages when viewers implement an action on those Web pages that require the implementation of functionalities that have been programmed into the Web pages through the JavaScript codes found in the corresponding .js files in the Web server. These functionalities may include automatically closing or opening Web browser windows or tabs, mouseovers, form validation sequences and so on. These JavaScript codes can also be used to create dropdown boxes with interactive functionalities. Microsoft Notepad can be used to open and view the content of these .js files.
