What is a vmdk file and how do I open a vmdk file?
A VMDK file is a virtual disk that stores the contents of a VMware virtual machine hard disk. It may be set at a fixed size or configured to grow over time using VMware Virtual Disk Manager. VDMK files are used by VMware software, but can also be mounted as a virtual disk using WinMount. Once a VDMK file has been mounted with WinMount, it can be deleted, copied and modified in the virtual disk.
