What is a md5 file and how do I open a md5 file?
MD5 Files are checksum files used to ensure that data contained in a file is complete and not corrupt. An MD5 file verifies the integrity of downloaded files, disks and disk images. MD5 files use an algorithm based on the number of bits that a file should contain. This file format is used by IsoBuster copying software to verify the integrity of the copies it creates.
