What is a dlc file and how do I open a dlc file?
A download link container file is classified as a downloadable digital data file implemented with encryption standards for compressing, encoding and securing the data stored in the download link container file. These files are stored in the DLC format and are affixed with the .dlc extension. The DLC encrypted container file format is deployed for processing links stored in the DLC file for certain downloadable content items by a Web server. The associated applications installed in the Web server locally processes downloadable content links in a DLC file, and the corresponding Web service recrypts and implements distribution requirements of the downloadable content stored in the URLs in these DLC files. Keys among other settings are also processed, recrypted and distributed by the associated Web service in the server. These DLC files can be used with the JDownloader software, and this program is classified as Java-based download manager software. The JDownloader application developed a version for Linux-based systems. Another version of the JDownloader software can also be installed and used in Mac platforms. Users of computers running on operating systems developed by Microsoft can implement support for these DLC files by installing and using a JDownloader software version intended for these operating systems.
