What is a pp2 file and how do I open a pp2 file?
The PP2 file extension is used to name a part, object or prop belonging to a model created with Poser, a 3D rendering and animating program developed by Smith Micro. Poser is optimized to generate models that depict human figures in three-dimensional form. It functions like a digital mannequin wherein it is mostly used to animate or pose the figures. Because it produces basic animations and digital images, it has gained much popularity from beginners who are trying to learn the basics in animation. Poser comes with several pre-installed models of people, animals, robots and others. Files in the PP2 format contain parts of a model, may be individual or grouped to create order and a system. It can also contain geometrical data or reference OBJ files. To view and manage such files, the user may be required to have the file’s authoring software, which is Smith Micro’s Poser. Otherwise, the file may be converted to another format to enable viewing through other programs.
