What is a 3ds file and how do I open a 3ds file? |
|---|
A 3DS extension is used by Autodesk 3D image3D Studio. It contains mesh data, material attributes, bitmap references, smoothing group data, viewport configurations, camera locations, lighting information and object animation data. 3DS files consist of chunks of data that contain an ID and length description. Chunks store the shapes, lighting, and viewing information that together represent a three-dimensional scene.
