What is an avhd file and how do I open an avhd file?
AVHD, or Snapshot Differencing Disk files are created by Hyper-V, a virtualization program included with Microsoft Windows Server. AVHD files are supplemental snapshot files to a base VHD file, which represents the original virtual hard disk image. An AVHD file stores differencing information that represents the changes from the base VHD disk. VHD and AVHD files are saved to the same directory.
