What is a paq file and how do I open a paq file?
PAQ files are categorized as backup files and known as Hewlett-Packard Software Restore Files because the data they contain are mainly used for the restoration of system files and other pre-installed data on a Hewlett-Packard (HP) computer system. These files are compressed and encrypted archives and are typically located on recovery disks or an HP system software installer. These files contribute a lot to keeping system files safe and secure and ready to transfer to another computer or disk in case there is system failure. Decompression programs like Winzip can be used to open PAQ files and since these are encrypted files, they usually require a password to be entered before they can be opened. Usually, the password to enter in order to unlock these files is PANDORA. Aside from the Winzip archiver, PAQ files can also be opened using PKWARE PKUNZIP; another archiving tool in the market, written by Phil Katz.
