What is an odf file and how do I open an odf file?
The ODF file extension is known as OpenDocument Formula which was created by OpenOffice.org Math. It is a file format that saves the text used for creating the formula as well as mathematical equation. Formatted results can be printed to a .pdf file. They are based on the OASIS OpenDocument standard. For Mac Os users, these are the steps to display ODF in iWeb. First, user has to type the mathematical formulae in .odf file making it sure to have a big font size to avoid breaking apart the said formula. Then, Hold down the "Shift" and "Command" keys while pressing key “3” for a .png snapshot. Next is to hold and drag around the formula making sure to cut other unnecessary parts then press Command-K from Apple Preview for cropping. It has to be saved in JPEG format. Files in ODF format can be opened with OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice in Mac Os, Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
