What is a 8xg file and how do I open a 8xg file?
Files in the .8xg extension are used by the TI Connect program as data files and are more specifically referred to as TI-83/84 Plus group files. The TI-83 Plus device manufactured by Texas Instruments, as well as the TI-84 Plus, are graphing calculators which use the TI Connect application. This application on the other hand references the data contained in a .8xg file, and the content of these 8XG files include matrices, program code, data sets and other files. This means the .8xg format is used as data files containing multiple types of content packaged in one 8XG file. Texas Instruments developed versions of the TI Connect application for Microsoft Windows-based platforms, and Mac users can also use the TI Connect application because Texas Instruments also provides a version compatible with Mac-based systems. With the TI Connect software just referencing and not actually loading the files stored in the .8xg file, OS memory and RAM resources are conserved, which in turn ensures the efficiency of other background processes used by the OS to optimize the performance of running applications.
