What is a ctm file and how do I open a ctm file?
Files stored and encoded with CTM format specifications are classified as data files used by the CrazyTalk software. These CTM files are appended with the .ctm extension and are also called CrazyTalk model files. The CrazyTalk application can be used to create, open and modify the data stored in these CTM files. Reallusion developed the CTM file format and the CrazyTalk program, which is an application that can be used to convert images into digital animated characters with audio. These are also known as digital animated talking characters. Settings configured by the author of a CTM project store this data in a CTM file and are mainly used by the CrazyTalk software for rigging functionalities, and base and background graphics are also entered by the CTM project author in the associated CTM files using the CrazyTalk software. Rigging functionalities implemented into a CTM project output file consist of facial feature locations, which can be implemented to develop talking faces of the animated characters. Microsoft Windows users can install version 6 of CrazyTalk and Live Cam Avatar Creator, both of which were developed by Reallusion, to start creating talking animated character projects and opening or editing the content of existing CTM files.
