What is a dcmd file and how do I open a dcmd file?
Version 5.5 of the DiskCatalogMaker software was the first version to use files saved in the DiskCatalogMaker thumbnail-enabled catalog file format. These DCMD files are classified as data files and are appended with the .dcmd extension. Later versions of the DiskCatalogMaker 5.5 software also use the DCMD format, and this software was developed by Fujiwara Software as a program classified as a file cataloguing application that can be used for creating and managing files stored in multiple data disks and included in a database. Thumbnail image support implemented into these DCMB files may include thumbnail images for files compressed and stored in JPEG, GIF, M4A, MP3, PNG and other video files. The DiskCatalogMaker software was developed for users of Mac platforms, and earlier versions of the DiskCatalogMaker 5.5 software are not implemented with support for these DCMD files. The DiskCatalogMaker software locates the associated thumbnail images corresponding to files included in a catalog database created using this program, so the application can display these thumbnail images.
