Files in the PSA format are data files created by Adobe’s Photoshop Elements or Photoshop Album. Photoshop Album, on the other hand, is a program developed by Adobe to aid in the overall management of digital photos. Some of its features include editing, organizing, importing, easy searching and sharing of photos. It can also features options for managing whole photo collections for efficient mass editing. PSA files are mainly catalog files which categorizes digital images into their designated collections; it may include the use of several albums. Such files contain a list of location for all images in its database. To view and manage PSA files, users may use its authoring program, which may be either Photoshop Elements or Photoshop Album. Such files may also be converted to other format for easier access.
