What is a rvt file and how do I open a rvt file?
A Revit project file can be created using the Revit software product line from Autodesk. The content of a Revit project file is integrated with data compilation specifications proprietary to Autodesk and the Revit application, and these Revit project files are also implemented with encoding standards agian proprietary to Autodesk and used for the RVT file format. These Revit project files are affixed with the .rvt extension, and the Revit software is classified as a Building Modeling Information (BIM) program that is integrated with a set of features useful for the development of visual 3D building designs. The data stored in these Revit project files include architectural detials associated to a building design project created by a Revit user, and can specifically contain elevations, floor plans and building sections among other images and metadata details that correspond to the Revit project file being viewed by the user. These Revit project files can be opened and viewed as a 3D scene fully rendered and displayed on the fly by the Revit software. Project settings are also stored in these .rvt files.
