What is a ltx file and how do I open a ltx file?
The LTX file extension is used for a LaTex Document created through Tex typesetting language. It is a document preparation system and a document markup language. A document created with LaTex is first created using any form of Text editor but there are other types of Text editors that are created especially for LaTex use. LaTex is a combination of a program to access LaTex documents and Tex macros. TeX formatting commands are not that sophisticated thus allowing users to use it with ease and conformity. LaTex is an intermediate or primary format that is preferred by scholars and students and widely used for research environments and journal articles. Typesetting is originally composed of types and texts. It involves the process of creating the font and manner of storing it. Retrieval of these stored letters which are termed as “glyphs in digital forms and “sorts” in mechanical terms and the arrangements in accordance to orthography for visual viewing.
